SRW Mr. Flying W 277/3 is our senior herd sire. He is moderate framed, very clean, extremely muscular bull with a level hip. He is a trait leader for birth weight and recently (summer 2013 sire summary) became a trait leader for Ribeye Area. 277 has had a big impact in our herd. We currently are using 4 of his sons with good results from all of them. Each of these bulls has different cow families on the bottom side of their pedigrees which makes them breed different traits that can be blended into even more quality in the future. 277s heifers are very feminine, fertile, with good udders and small teats, and great mothering ability. We currently have 25 of his females in our herd and have more on the way to production.
In the past 3 years we have sold 10 herd sire prospects to brahman breeders in Texas, Louisiana, Florida, and Arizona. 277 has had a big impact in our herd and we look forward to the results he will have in others in the future.

His dam = SRW Miss Flying W 352 is a maternal merit cow whose sire SRW Mr Flying W 154 sired the 1st and 3rd high indexing steers at the 2005 ABBA carcass evaluation and was the high indexing sire also that year. He was the # 1 trait leader for carcass weight for several years and still would be # 2 if we had registered a calf out of him. 592/8 ‘s grandam is out of JJ Cuatro Didor 965 a bull we used only one year but has 3 daughters in 4 of our current herd sires.
592/8 has 4 maternal merit sires and 5 maternal merit cows in his pedigree. He is a very long bodied ,dark pigmented bull with a great hump and a strong top line and lots of muscle. SRW Mr Flying W 449/6
Registration Number: 858864 (View Pedigree and EPDs)
Date of Birth: March 21, 2006
Sire: JJ Cuatro Didor 879
Dam: SRW Miss Flying W 117
Semen: Foreign and Domestic $50.00 straw minimum of 10
449/6 is a deep bodied heavy muscled bull .His sire JJ Cuatro Didor 879/1 was a bull we purchased from John Jefcoat in 2004 when he was 9 years old. In a few short years of breeding he produced females with great udders and maternal instincts. They are some of our best producers and in 2010 879 daughters had 4 of our 7 heifers that had imf scores of 4 or better. 879 is a multiple carcass trait leader being # 4 in rib eye area, # 4 in retail product, and # 6 for fat. And with Suva and Bozo in his pedigree his calves marble well also.
449/6 is as close of an outcross as we have because he is not close in relationship to our other herd sires but is still 7x Didor along with the other great genetics coming from his sire. His dam is out of =SRW MR FLYING W 752 our best son of our foundation sire =Mr. Diamond T 374, and a daughter of our Poncrata bred bull JJ Ms Tres Crata 440/1 who also is a multiple carcass trait leader being # 2 for rib eye , and # 12 for carcass weight. 440 is also the # 8 trait leader in birth weight maternal. The females out of 449/6 are regal, and feminine with a great spring of rib and lots of eye appeal. 449/6 calves have had very good marbling scores on ultrasound and with all the great carcass genetics in his pedigree his females should produce calves that will have a big impact on our quest to breed cattle that excel in all aspects of the beef industry.

A very muscular, long level hipped ,clean sheathed 277 son. His dam =SRW Miss Flying W 248 is a really good = SRW Mr Flying W Ranch 752 daughter that goes back to one our ranch’s best cow lines.
John Jefcoat purchased 550 as a weaned calf to breed him in Paraguay. In the past 2 years he has sired over 200 calves at Estancia San Miguel in Jaram Paraguay, a beautiful ranch owned by Miguel Manzoni, that Johnny consults on. The results are very consistent and impressive. His calves are very clean sheathed , level hipped and muscular. We bred 550 last year and have calves on the ground and the results have been every bit as impressive as they were in paraguay. We are very excited about the future for 550 s offspring in our breeding program.

Sire: SRW Mr. Flying W 277
Dam: =SRW Miss Flying W 263
Semen: Domestic $100.00/straw, minimum of 5 straws
552/7 was my idea of a prototype brahman bull for raising commercial bulls. He was moderate framed with tremendous muscle, very correct on his feet and legs ,clean sheathed with a great hump. Unfortunately after his first breeding season he was in a freak accident and died.I still haven’t gotten over it, but we have quite a few heifers we are breeding out of him and they are very nice. He was out of 277 and a maternal merit cow 263 who goes back to one of our best cow lines. We have a little bit of semen out of him and are going to make part of it available for sale.

Sire: SRW Mr Flying W 308
Dam: SRW Miss Flying W 463/6
Semen: Domestic $50.00/straw, minimum of 10 straws
SRW Mr. Flying W 669/9 is another example of how we use several different sons of 277 with different bottom sides of their pedigrees. 669/9 ‘s dam is out of JJ Cuatro Didor 879. 879’s daughters have great udders and maternal instincts, along with excellent marbling ability.
669/9 is a medium framed bull with a very strong top line that ties well into a big hump. He is deep bodied with a long level square hip and clean sheath. We love his calves, they are medium framed , easy fleshing , with a lot of muscle.
SRW Mr Flying W 745/10

A young herd sire prospect out of SRW MR FLYING W 472/6. 745 is a very muscular and attractive bull on the profile with long level hip.
He was the best combination bull in his calf crop for ribeye area and marbling in ultrasound. His dam 428/5 is one of our best young cows and her dam is out of JJ Cuatro Didor 965 who has 3 daughters in several of our herd sires pedigrees. She is also the dam of a herd sire prospect 711/9 that we sold to Jason Smith of Smith Brahmans in Louisiana. 745 is a very line bred Didor going back to JTW Didor Ferno Manso 449 16 times.

Registration Number: 900320 (View Pedigree and EPDs)
Date of Birth: April 2, 2011
Sire: SRW Mr Flying W 472/6
Dam: SRW Miss Flying W 572/7
One of our young herd sire prospects 809 is out of SRW MR FLYING W 472/6 (Megatron). He is extremely line bred Didor going back to JTW Didor Ferno Manso 449 16 times. 809 is long bodied bull with a big hump and lots of muscle. He is clean sheathed and very wide through the stifle.
We have nick named him Megatron II as he is a carbon copy of his sire at the same age only more muscular. His dam SRW Miss Flying W 572 has now had 3 calves all herd sire prospects (see SRW MR FLYING W 750). We have high hopes for this very stylish young bull as the cow line on the bottom side of his pedigree goes back through great cows all the way back to one our foundation cows. One of 6 cows that around 80% of our cow herd goes back to so we know the maternal genetics are there to continue to improve our cattle.

SRW Mr Flying W 794/11 is a big framed dark pigmented bull with a strong top line and a big hump. 794’s sire is JJ Ms Tres Crata 440/1 who in the most recent sire summary (summer 2013) is the #1 trait leader for ribeye area. He is also a a trait leader for fat at # 3 and retail product at #8. JJ 440/1 s carcass epd’s show him to be in the top 2% of the breed for carcass weight, fat, ribeye area, and retail product as well as top 7% for tenderness. JJ 440/1 was royally bred with both his grand sires being National Champions. His paternal grand sire + JJ Poncrata 276 and maternal grand sire + JJ Didor Crata 389.
SRW 794/11 Also has great carcass epds being in the top 10% for carcass weight, fat, ribeye area and retail product and tenderness as well as in the top 23% for marbling. His dam is a very productive deep bodied cow out of SRW Mr Flying W 951 the sire of several herd sires for us including SRW 277/3. We think this bull will be a nice piece of our genetic puzzle as we look to add more of the Poncrata blood line to our herd.
